Must-Have Crunchy Maple-Mesquite Walnuts from Clean Eats

Having healthy snacks around is a great way to keep you from making less-than-excellent food choices. These crunchy maple-mesquite walnuts from Dr. Alejandro Junger’s Clean Eats are perfect for family travels, hikes, or days spent on the go. They also make a great garnish for any kind of salad or roasted vegetable dish. Makes 1 pound Prep time:  10 minutes Cooking time: 30 minutes 1 pound raw walnuts 2 tablespoons mesquite meal 1  teaspoon vanilla bean powder or 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon allspice 1/2 teaspoon ground clove 1/2 teaspoon  sea salt 1/2 cup coconut nectar   Preheat oven to 375º F.
